Madeline Fisher has taught scientific writing for nearly a decade, drawing on prior experience as a science writer and editor for various offices at UW‑Madison and the Societies (now Canvas). At the Societies, Madeline served as science editor for the organization’s magazines, and taught writing in the UW-Madison Life Sciences Communication department for five years before joining Soil and Environmental Sciences in 2025. She holds a BS in biology from the University of Oregon and a PhD in botany from UW‑Madison.
