W.A. Rothermel Soil Science Fund (132760734) – The income generated by this endowed fund supports the department in its teaching, research, public service, scholarships, fellowships, or other discretionary purposes.

O.N. Allen Graduate Fellowship in Soil Science Fund (132049710) – The income generated by the endowed parent fund is distributed equally among the Departments of Soil Science, Agronomy, and Plant Pathology. Its intended use is to support truly outstanding graduate students through a research assistantship or fellowship.
J.G. Iyer Soil Science Endowment Fund (132768296) – The income from this endowed fund shall be used to provide scholarships for deserving students enrolled in the Department of Soil Science and to provide grants to support graduate student travel to meetings and seminars as well as support meetings and seminars held by the department.
M.L. Jackson Memorial Fund (132768296) – The income generated by this endowed fund will support soil science graduate student travel expenses to the annual meetings of the tri-societies and to other professional organization meetings with a significant focus on soil science, to present research and interact with faculty from around the world.
D.L. Karlen Soil Research Graduate Fund (132760013) – The income generated by this endowed fund will be used to support graduate students within the department, with preference given to students interested in soil properties and processes affecting sustainable agriculture and environmental quality.
W. Kussow & WI Turfgrass Association – WI Distinguished Graduate Fellowship (132762984) – The income generated by this endowed fund will support a graduate student conducting turfgrass research in the department.
R.D. Powell Memorial Scholarship Fund in Soil Science (132767570) – The income from this endowed fund will be used to provide scholarships to graduate students in the department.
C. & A. Ream Soil and Water Protection Research Fund (132760392) – The income from this endowed fund may be used to support soil and water conservation interests through graduate research assistantships, travel awards to professional meetings, and scholarships for undergraduate students.
L. Sommers Soil Science Graduate Education Fund (132768269) – The income from this endowed fund shall be used to support graduate students who conduct research in the general area of environmental quality with an emphasis on soil microbiology, soil biochemistry, soil chemistry, or a related soils sub discipline. Additionally, these funds may be used to support graduate student travel to meetings and conferences, or other expenses deemed to enhance the overall graduate student experience.
C. Tanner Agricultural Physics Award Fund (132760301) – The income from this endowed fund shall be used to support graduate students in the application of physics to agriculture and in particular to support environmental biophysics (exclusive of molecular biophysics) through assistantships, scholarships, travel awards, and support purchases of equipment needed for research programs for qualifying students.
L. Walsh and WI Agri-Business Association – WI Distinguished Graduate Fellowship (132763186) – The income from this endowed fund shall be used to support a graduate student in the department whose emphasis is in field or vegetable crop soil fertility research.
C.L. Ream Memorial Scholarship Fund (132760073) – The income from this endowed fund shall be used for scholarships to undergraduate students of superior academics, financial need, and majoring in soil science with a demonstrated interest in soil and water management and conservation.
O.R. & G. Zeasman Soil Sciences Fund (132765222) – The income from this endowed fund shall be used for a scholarship for a deserving undergraduate student interested in soil and water conservation. If, in any given year, there are no qualifying undergraduates, the scholarship may be awarded to a deserving graduate student interested in soil and water conservation.

F.D. Hole Wisconsin Soils Study and Expedition Fund (132767691) – The income from this endowed fund is used to provide hands-on learning experiences for undergraduate students participating in soil expeditions throughout Wisconsin.
Professor G.B. & M. Lee Soils Study and Expedition Fund (132764524) – The income from this endowed fund will be used to support student field experiences related to the study of soils.

K. & A. Kelling Soil Science Fund (112760008) – Donations to this fund support the faculty laboratories working in soil fertility and/or soil and water management within the department.
H. Massey Visiting Scholars in Tropical Soil Research (112760011) – Donations to this fund provide visiting scholar support for researchers interested in learning new techniques in soil monitoring and mapping while working under the guidance of soil science faculty members.
Nutrient Cycling in Agricultural Systems (112760003) – Donations to this fund support research, education and outreach for nutrient cycling in agricultural systems under the direction of Dr. Matt Ruark.
Soil and Water Management Fund (112760005) – Donations to this fund supports research, education, and outreach in soil and water management under the direction of Dr. Francisco Arriaga.
WI Turfgrass Research Fund (112760001) – Donations to this fund supports research, education, and outreach in turfgrass under the direction of Dr. Doug Soldat.

J.G. Bockheim Distinguished Lectureship in Soil Science (132760010) -Donations to this fund support an annual distinguished lecture of a leading scientist to present a seminar on their scholarship to members of the department and the broader campus community each fall semester.
L. Walsh Distinguished Lectureship in Soil Science (132767661) – Donations to this fund support an annual distinguished lecture from an active and prominent scholar in any sub-discipline of soil science to present a seminar based on their research to the department and the broader campus community each spring semester.

O.N. Allen Professorship in Microbiology and Soil Science (132766025) – The income generated from this endowed fund will be used to support a tenure-track/tenured faculty member of the department in the field of symbiotic nitrogen fixation or soil microbiology.
M.T. Beatty Professorship in Soil Science (132760009) – The income from this endowed fund will be used to support a tenure-track/tenured faculty member of the department in support of their teaching, research, and extension work.
W.A. Rothermel Bascom Professorship in Soil Science (132761507) – The income generated from this endowed fund will be used to support a tenure-track/tenured faculty member of the department in support of their teaching, research, and extension work.
Leo M. Walsh Faculty Fellow (132760014) – These spendable funds will be used to recognize and reward promising young faculty within the University’s College of Agricultural and Life Sciences. In establishing this Fund, the Donor recognizes that the first few years of an academic career are the most critical time in the life of a young scientist. While young scientists have great energy, enthusiasm, and innovation, their ideas are untested. They must convince their peers and the various funding agencies to support their proposals.
