Dr. Noel is a Postdoctoral Research Associate and Lab Manager in Dr. Balster’s Forest Soils Lab in the Department of Soil and Environmental Sciences at the University of Wisconsin–Madison, USA. He received his Ph.D. in Soil, Water, and Ecosystem Sciences from the University of Florida, his Master’s degree in Soil Science and Plant Nutrition from Selcuk University in Turkey, and his Bachelor’s degree in Soil and Water Management from the University of Rwanda, College of Agriculture, Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine. He is a soil scientist specializing in soil health, carbon sequestration, and regenerative agriculture. As a Postdoctoral Research Scholar, he is building on his experience managing soil health and carbon dynamics in agroecosystems to advance sustainable soil health and carbon sequestration strategies in forest soil ecosystems.
