Congratulations to Alfred Hartemink on being elected chair of the Pedology Division of the Soil Science Society of America. In addition, he has been appointed by the National Academy to chair the U.S. National Committee for Soil Sciences. Alfred was also recently awarded the Marvin T. Beatty Professorship in Soil Science.  Well-deserved honors!
